The photo above was made with the app from a blank slate.  Here are two more made with the templates.  I added a couple photos and text to the first one and a simple text line to the second one.

MDS Angry Birds

My son 's birthday is this weekend.  We decided to go with an Angry Birds Theme this year.  Treat sacks at our local store are $3.50 for 8 little angry bird sacks.  This does not sit well with me.  My Digital Studio to the rescue.

I created this postcard on MDS2 and will attach it to the front of a standard ole' brown lunch bag.  The grass area is done with the torn edges stamp in three layers of Gumball Green and Old Olive.  I resized and rotated a few squares to make the sling shot.  The bird itself is one of the new features that comes with MDS2.  You can now add a photo to any punch shape.  I found the face of the bird online and put it into the circle punch.  The feathers behind are the 5 petal flower punch.

Check out the curve to "Happy Birthday".  Again thanks to MDS2, you can now make your words follow along a curve or zig zag.  A few drop shadows and some cupcake top clouds....viola'.....we are done.  This took very little time to do.

To check out more on the features of MDS2, check out the SU! My Digital Studio Website.  Be sure to watch a few of the videos in the training section.

Purchase MDS2 or other Stampin' Up! products online 24/7 at My Demonstrator Website.

MDS2 is Mind Blowing!!

It has been awhile since I have posted.  After our move "life" just took over.  I have been checking out some of the new things that SU! has come out with and made a few new cards that I am ready to share, but the moment I saw MDS2 I couldn't wait to tell you.
My Digital Studio is a fantastic program for all your Digital Papercrafting needs, but MDS2 is Mind Blowing!

Here are just a few of the exciting new features you get with MDS2.....

• Multiple colors in one stamp image
• Crop your stamps or embelishments
• Have embelishments or Designer Series Paper in ANY COLOR!
• Easily fill punches with photos, DSP or even TEXT.
• Make text follow a shape (any curve or line you can think of)
• More abilities with grouped objects
• Mirror options for DSP, embellishments, groups, etc
• View page layouts side by side
• Add rounded corners to DSP or photos with a simple click

Happy Valentine's Day

I had the blessing of spending this morning with all my wonderful ladies at church.  I am sure going to miss them when we move in two weeks.  There is no way I could ever express to them how much they have meant to me the last 5+ years.  I did want to give them each something small to say how much they mean to me.  In the spirit of Valentine's Day I gave them each one of these treats.

The card images were all done with My Digital Studio.  The images come from the "Always", "Simple Friendship" and "For All You Do" stamp brush sets.  The ribbon is the Real Red Polka Dot download.  A quick punch shape and the Spring Shades Designer Paper Download and they are done.

I used the 8.5 x 11 scrapbook page setting to start.  Using the template with 4 equal sized photos I filled in each area with the designer series paper.  Added my brush set images and embellishments to one of the panels.  Then copied and pasted the images to the other panels.   This allowed me to print 4 cards at once.  I printed them on my home computer onto Whisper White cardstock, trimmed them down to 5-1/4 x 4" and mounted them on 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 pieces of Real Red cardstock.  I used my crop-a-dile to punch two holes for the sucker sticks to go through.  I had found bundles of these heart suckers at the store with long sticks.

New Header

I thought it was time for a new blog header, so you get a bonus post today. If you receive this by an automatic feed, click the title of this post to go to my blog and view the header. I also changed the background and made a few tweeks to the layout.
I wanted to do something bright. What a great chance to use the NEW 2010-2012 In Colors. The mat color behind the entire header and the mat behind my name plate is Concord Crush. The decorative border strip at the bottom is in Pear Pizzazz. It is the border stamp from Vintage Vogue two times over. The flourish is from the same set and is done in Blushing Bride. The flowers on the flourish are Poppy Parade and the "Friends F" is Peach Parfait.
The entire header was made using My Digital Studio. SU! had been wonderful and gave all My Digital Studio users a free upgrade with the New In Colors. Thank you SU! I also added some courduroy brads in Basic Grey. Though these brads are no longer sold by SU! they will never retire from My Digital Studio. I sized them down to fit onto the flowers. There is some black stitching around the edge of the entire thing. By the creative use of some punches I was able to block out anything on the edges of the header I didn't want to show, such as the extra portions of the stitching or the flourish stamp.
Contact me for more on how to use My Digital Studio. I am available for a private training session or for groups. I will bring my computer along, hook it up to your TV and everyone can see all the great things that My Digital Studio can do. To order your own copy, contact me or order it online 24/7 at My Stampin' Up! Website. My Digital Studio is available for PC or MAC.

My Digital Studio--Quarterback Training

It has been awhile since I reminded everyone how great this program is. I tell you, it is wonderful! Simple. Fast. Anyone can do it. The paper and stamp selection is wonderful and the extra downloads available each month give you even more to do too.

I used the same "Shades of Spring" Designer Series Paper that I used on yesterday's layout. This time I used the green sheet from the set. It blended perfectly with the grass from the photos. Almost too well, so I added so photo mats to match the color of the football. It is easy to match any color on your page. Click on the item you want then click on "change color" on the right hand side. When the window box pops up, select "Picker" from the top choice. You can then scroll over your entire page and select a color from something there. I scrolled over the football and selected one of the red shades from the photo.

The stamps set I used were from the new downloads last month. They are "Athletic Department" and "Sporting". I also use the "Jersey" Alphabet and "Scoreboard" Numbers. For the "Quarterback Training" I added a text box, changed the font, and started typing. Again, you can change the color to match anything on the page. You can also select from any of the Stampin' Up! exclusive colors. The program comes with the current 48 standard colors and the In Colors from the last 2 years as well as the entire neutral color pallete.

Contact me for more information on My Digital Studio. I am also available to give a demonstration of MDS to you and your friends. Check out the ready made scrapbook pages, calendar formats, card building and interactive features first hand. There is also a My Digital Studio Starter Kit option for those of you thinking of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Dinner & a Movie Scrapbook pages

My daughter's best friend was moving to California last weekend. I took the girls out to dinner and a movie for their last night in the same state. While out I of course snapped some pics of them together. It was too dark in the movie theater to take any, but I got a few at the restaurant and back at her friend's house playing the Wii together.

I used My Digital Studio to put these pages together. All of the elements of the pages are available as separate downloads. They can be used in any png digital program you have. To make the movie strip I put a series of photo boxes in a row. Behind it I longated a square punch into a long black strip. The little boxes on the sides were made with the same square punch. This time I made the boxes smaller. I simply copied and pasted them over and over in a long row.

Papers: Spring Shades

Accessories: Sending Love Epoxy Brads, Square Punch, Circle Punch

Stamps: Simple Friendship, Schoolbook Serif Alphabet, Vintage Vogue

Summertime Spendor

Isn't this Designer Series Paper wonderful? Summertime Splendor DSP is only available as a digital download for My Digital Studio. These downloads can be used in any digital editing software. You can order the digital downloads online at My Stampin' Up! Website.

ONLINE ORDERING PROMOTION: I am giving 10% of all online orders between now and June 11th to The Relay For Life Team I am supporting that evening.

I used the green page from the Designer Series Paper as the background to my scrapbook pages. The photos are of my flower garden I planted last month. I wish the roses still looked that nice, but the heat all day and winds all night have taken their toll on them. The backgrounds are so beautiful by themselves, I just add a simple title using various fonts.

There are lots of other wonderful downloads available right now. Also be sure to check out the Clearance Rack for some fabulous items.

The Write Stuff-MDS Download

I placed my Sale-A-Bration order the other day and added on a few of the My Digital Studio downloads I had yet to get. I didn't pay for the super fast shipping so I will not have my new Sale-A-Bration or Occassions Mini items until next week. To tide me over I did load the downloads I purchased into My Digital Studio. The Downloads are instant when you purchase them online. No waiting for the big brown truck. Though I love it when the UPS man brings me new goodies.

This page is actually a pre-designed 8-1/2" by 11" page that comes with the "The Write Stuff Digital Kit" (#120881--$9.95). I did move the tag and wording so that it didn't overlap my son's face in the bottom picture. Other than that it was good to go. Took less than 5 minutes to create, save and email off to my sister-in-law (mother of the older boy).

To check out all the latest downloads for My Digital Studio, go to My Stampin' Up! Website. Select "Shop now" in the upper right corner. Then select Digital Crafting, My Digital Downloads and Most Recent Downloads from the menu on the left.

New downloads were added today.

My Digital Studio is only $79.95 and can be ordered online 24/7 to be sent right to your door. It is available for Mac or PC and comes with over 1000 images, stamps, papers and embelishments to use. Each month there is new content you can download to your computer to use.

Order My Digital Studio between now and the end of March and you can also select a Sale-A-Bration item for FREE!

Cincinnati Bengals - Daniel Coats

Our family had the chance to go back to our hometowns for Christmas this year. More on all the things we got to do later as I finish those pages. One of the highlights for my husband and me was getting a day away from the kids to go to the Cincinnati Bengals game. It was his first time to an NFL game. I have not been to one since I was such a little girl I barely remember going.
A friend of our in the unit has a grown son who was childhood friends with one of the players now on the Bengals team. #86 Tight End, Daniel Coats. At the game I took some pictures for her of Daniel. I printed a bunch of them out and also put together this digital scrapbook page for her. The photo of Daniel is from the Cincinnati Bengals website. I took the rest of them.

I made the page form scratch. It was quite simple. Just a Pumpkin Pie background and some simple mats around the photos. The Title is one of the photos I took at the game. I copied the stats from the Bengals website also.

Did you know My Digital Studio will let you use your own photo as a background paper? I used one of the photos I took at the game and made it transparent so it blended in behind the others. Daniel is just under the information I typed in about him.

Just in case you were wondering Cincinnati won 17 -10 over the Kansas City Chiefs. Too bad they have not been winning much more this season.

New Header

For those who view my blog directly, you can see the new blog header. I love Christmas time, but alas it is over. I am starting to work out my valentine class details and thought a new Valentine's Themed Blog Header would give me some inspiration.

I created the header with My Digital Studio of course. I used Pretty in Pink, Real Red and Whisper White cardstocks. The Whisper White is slightly opaque to give it the subtle pink shade from the red cardstock behind it. The stamps are from "Once Upon a Time" and "Greatest Moments". The hearts are punches that I filled in with pattern paper. Each punch is then matted with a thin layer of basic black. Everything on the page has a basic drop shadow added to it.
The font for "They Stamped" is from my computer. My Digital Studio automatically uses the fonts found on your computer in the program.

More Photos by Lily

It took me a few more days to post these. I was debating what else to put on the pages. I didn't want much to take away from the photos, but it needed something. So here are three more pages from My Digital Studio. Each of these started as a photo template. I put in my pictures, add my text and put in a few stamped images. DONE! Super easy.
If you live in the Lawton, OK area and want to see a demonstration on this software please contact me. You can also earn My Digital Studio for half price with a qualifying workshop in November. Contact me today to book your fun event.
